Kudos to Roscoe Bartlett, who voted NAY on the bailout.  Good job standing up for the right solution, not just the expedient solution.  Meanwhile, Wayne Gilchrest, who has gone from RINO status to not even faking it any more, decided to vote for the bailout.  What the hell, his goose is cooked, and he can cheer on Frank Kratovil and Barack in November.

Just one question though:  while Roscoe Bartlett is listening to his constituents, who is calling the shots for the itinerant house painter?

Interrogatory for Senator John McCain:  Do you really want to be President of the United States?

If you do, you need to stop being Mr. Nice Genial Bi-Partisan guy, and you need to start ripping off heads and crapping down necks.  Here's how you can start.

There are some that are taking issue with my classification of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi as a bitch based on her statement in the well of the House.  Well, get over it. You can't always get what you want.  She a powerless, shrill, incompetent gameplayer who doesn't understand her t...

"Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to have man boobs". This great story in the North County News is hilarious.  Apparently, a scare ran across hikers and bikers of the North Central Railroad Trail after a notice appeared announcing that anyone going topless on the trail would have to wear "...

Despite Barney Frank's whining that the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac wasn't his fault (as head of the House Banking Committee), the truth is really starting to come out that he was much closer to this issue -- with a much bigger conflict of interest -- than previously thought.

It turns out that from 1991 to 1998, Fannie Mae's Assistant Director of Product Initiatives was one Herb Moses.  He was also Barney Frank's partner at the time.

Fox News has all the details here.

We've heard that phrase a lot these last couple of weeks as the debate over the "Bogus Bailout Bill of 2008" raged on.  In fact, we've heard it back into the spring, as we saw the first invesment banks start swirling the drain.  Some banks -- according to the "professionals" -- are just "too big to fail".

If they are too big to fail, isn't it possible they are just too big?

Does anyone remember the radio show "America's Top 40" with Casey Kasem?  When I was growing up in Parkville -- before the big move to da 'Bury during Christmas of '84 -- I would listen to Casey Kasem every Sunday afternoon after church on B104.3.  And my favorite part of the show was the long distance dedication, because they were always syrupy and sad and sweet and, frankly, funny.

And given the performance of the market today, I have decided to write my own long distance dedication to 538 of my favorite people:  Congress, The President, Hank Paulson, and Ben Bernanke.

After all the fights and recrimination and arguments over the bailout, it turns out that some of the big Wall Street Banks don't like the terms of the bailout and are basically telling the US Taxpayer -- dragged unwillingly into covering their sorry asses -- to go frak themselves. For their sake, I...
