This event, chronicled in today's Baltimore Sun, is a pretty ugly incident for Freeland.

What makes it worse is that this is the first most people will have heard about it.  Why?  Because the North County News and Baltimore Sun do an absolutely lousy job in reporting the "crime blotter" up here. Most weeks it is one or two items-- especially in the North County News.

I would like to suggest to Captain Marty Lurz of the Cockeysville Precinct that he take a strong approach to reporting the crimes up here to the community through alternative press.  I offer this blog as one outlet.

As of late, Runaround Sue has been posting court information regarding the case of the ill-fated Andromeda Night Club.

Given that this case is relatively old, what does it have to do with current events?

Imagine my surprise this morning when I log on to baltimoresun.com, and I read a well-balanced and informative article on the Governor's plan to increase Medicaid funding for adults.  As I read Andy Greene's article, I thought I had stepped into the twilight zone.

The North County News has an article this week that highlights a new $96,000 per annum position to head code enforcement and compliance.  But, there are several problems with this appointment.

The Salisbury Daily Crime has an article up today that has started a bit of a ruckus in the Eastern Shore blogosphere over the changing of fire coverage on the westside of town.  It turns out that Westwood Commerce Park, now that it has been annexed by the City, is now under the SFD coverage, and no longer under Hebron VFD.

The reasoning here is that WCP is in city limits, and city taxpayers should be covered by the services they pay for.  It's a reasonable notion.  Would that it were the case that all cities actually provided the services their taxpayers pay for, but that is for another post.

Hebron wasn't pleased by the decision by County Exec Rick Pollitt to shift coverage, because mainly, it alters coverage and removes a fundraising source.  It's a reasonable complaint, but to coin a phrase-- the law is supreme, and the County Exec was merely following the law.

For a long time, I wondered how bad the schools must be in New York to educate citizens that would grow up to elect both Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer as Senators.  Then, I started reading Salisbury News-- the news site that isn't.

It's clear that Runaround Sue was educated in the same crappy, low-brow schools in New York.

Just from one post:

It looks like there might be, centered around a certain poster name "Fighting4th".

This is from www.thewatchdesk.com, posted by FireWalker (who I don't know):

Now this ones gonna give everyone reading a really good solid laugh. I got a phone call maybe...30 minutes ago telling me to go read a certain cyberworld version of the National Enquirer..AKA, SBYnews. Everyone who reads THIS site knows that there happens to be a person on THAT site using the username fighting4th. There also is a person on THIS site that has the same username and happens to be somewhat, kinda, slightly, remotely related to me. That being said, the MORON on the other "news" site has now tried to make himself more convincing that he is one and the same by posting that he is Fire Walkers son and that he hates TheWatchdesk YADA YADA YADA!! What the TOTAL IDIOTIC MORONIC STUPID JERK forgot to do is try posting it when the person he's attempting to be..... is ACTUALLY IN TOWN AND EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE TO A COMPUTER, DUUUUUHHHHHH!!!! The Fighting4th from on here isn't even near a computer and hasn't been pretty much for 3 days, the posting on that site is only 2 days old. This shows just how desperate and underhanded certain individuals are and how far they will go to discredit and start troubles on other sites that they are unwanted on. I got the biggest laugh out of it, it proves that SBYnews regular commentors are a sewerpot of low lifes with no nibblets between thier legs. You want me Albero, come face to face with me...2 words...BRING IT!!!

P.S....the posting on SBYnews is under..Another Fire Department Scam...it was made on Thursday...Fighting4th from off here was on the road, i know he was so there's no possible way he posted that!!

With the news that the newest shuttle in the fleet -- Endeavour -- has a gouge in its heat shield, I think it is time to ground this white elephant.  Space exploration should move on, but the nonsense of a re-usable orbiter is long since been proven stupid.

Is this really news?  Nearly half of all US murder victims are black.  Breitbart seems to think so, but they also don't ask the follow up question:  who is committing all these murders?

Now before anyone starts trying to brand me as a Grand Kleagle, back the hell off.  I think the crime problem in the black community is HORRENDOUS. It's APPALLING.  It's a NATIONAL DISGRACE.  But is anyone really surprised by this?

I ask that question, because Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute -- deputy National Security Advisor and War Czar -- thinks it might be a good idea to consider reinstating the draft.

I think regular urinalysis tests at the National Security Council might be a good idea, too.
