Candace de Russy at Phi Beta Cons highlights controversy in the UK how to seventh grade boys were chastised for refusing to bow to Allah in a class demonstration of how Muslims worship.

Sometimes I think in the US we have overreacted in our "separation of church and state", but then the UK pops up with their whole Londonistan thing and I am once again comfortable with the tension we have.

Chastise two seventh grade boys?  Are you kidding me?  For refusing to pray to Allah?

Were I a parent of children forced to do such a thing, I would be ripping off heads and crapping down necks.

A professor at Jordanian University thinks that suicide bombers should be armed with small nuclear bombs.

Jordanian University lecturer Ibrahim Alloush recommended on Al-Jazeera television this week that suicide bombers be equipped with small nuclear bombs.

I wonder if these are the types of people that Barack Obama insists on negotiating with directly?

Social conservatives all over the land are schvitzing over the fact that California's notoriously liberal Supreme Court has just ruled that gay marriage must be made in legal in one of the nation's largest state.

I suppose that as a social conservative, I should join in the renting of my clothes and the wailing and the gnashing of teeth.  But I can't.  Because while I despise the ruling, I do so for far different reasons.

Two bills -- one in the Senate and one in the House of Delegates -- have been introduced to legalize gay marriage in Maryland, guaranteeing a contentious fight on the floors of both houses.  There are over 40 sponsors -- almost 25% -- in the House, and nine in the Senate.

Personally, I think this argument will generate much more heat than light.  But even more, I think it is a waste of time.

Does Mike Huckabee hate free speech?  I think he just might.  This is what Huckabee had to say about push polls made on his behalf:

I personally wish that all of this was outlawed. I think that every candidates should speak for themselves, and that every thing that involves the candidate's name or another candidate's name should be authorized and approved by that candidate, otherwise it shouldn't be spoken....

Hmmm... let's look at what our Constitution says.

When I posted "Who I Will Not Vote For in the Maryland Primary, Part I", declaring why I would not vote for Ron Paul, I was not aware of how ugly some of his deeper philosophies go.

Today I found this story on The New Republic about his pamphleteering from a few decades ago.  All I can say is, I am glad I got it right.  Since Mr. Paul has failed to adequately separate himself from some of the beliefs espoused in the pamphlets bearing his name in the Masthead, I can only believe that they are his thoughts and feelings.

I will definitely not vote for him for anything.  And I am glad I said so early.

Over at National Review Online, Jonah Goldberg has an excellent column this weekend on the left's never-ending quest to get more people to vote.

I think he makes a valid point toward the end, but I would take a different tact.
