On Friday, May 2, 2008, Eddie Hale -- robust supporter of O'Guvnah and would be land-baron of Baltimore -- spoke up at the annual 1st Mariner Stockholder's Meeting and prognosticated that the stock had reached its lowest point, and was poised for a rebound.

The stock had closed at $4.13 on Thursday, May 1st.

The stock closed at $3.80, down 33 cents, on Friday, May 9, 2008.

Eddie certainly is no Jim Kramer, that's for sure.  If you are taking advise from him on your 401(k), I have three words for you:  Don't do it.

Barrie Parsons Tilghman The City of Salisbury, Maryland is a quiet, enjoyable little town on Maryland's Lower Eastern Shore. I had the privilege of living there for four years -- from January 1985 until September of 1989, when I left for college.

Although I didn't realize it at the time, it was a great place to live and grow-up.  I went to one of the best high schools in the country (Parkside High School -- Class of '89 -- Go RAMS!  "White Wall Stand Tall, No Ticks Tonight!") and had some of the finest teachers you could ever hope for in any school, much less a public school.

But times have certainly changed.  The City of Salisbury is slowly descending into an abyss. The simple fact is that the city suffers from a fundamental lack of real leadership, and instead is controlled by a motley crue of self-indulgent, under-achieving, and grossly incompetent pseudo-politicians.

For the second year in a row, we have seen a fundamental failure in leadership, management, and duty in the fiduciary responsibilities of Salisbury City Government to the citizens of this small town on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

I am of course, talking about the recently completed audit of city finances presented to the City Council.

Environmental Science Merit BadgeThere are days when I wished in Harford County.  They have some visionary leaders there that look at problems and see the potential for solutions.  Real solutions.  No liberal facist tropes about raising taxes, and compulsory "good government" nonsense.  Real solutions that solve multiple problems

One such example is today's Calvert Street Communisty Party Newsletter article on Harford County's plans to replace their waste-to-energy plant.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

O'Guvnah has been on tear to bring down Nancy Grasmick ever since she followed state and federal law in her attempt to take over 11 city schools that were failing so badly in their education of children, those kids didn't even make good corner kids.

Back then, of course, he was O'Mayor, the boy wunderkind Crackberry Addict, and some $52 million was "missing" from the Baltimore City Schools budget.  And the last thing he needed was was the State Superintendent reminding him of how crappy a job he was doing in the City of Baltimore.
