The Transportation Security Administration has released an unclassified warning to all airport officials (and presumably to the flying public) about a new round of incidents that lead to a belief that terrorist are once again probing planes and airports for security weaknesses using common items.

This warning comes at critical time, as the Lefty grab asses in the Democrat party recently defeated the King amendment, which would have given protection to citizens who reported suspicious behavior to authorities.  Named the John Doe amendment after the lawsuit filed by Muslim "clerics" who were removed from a USAirways flight last year, the goal was to give a sort of "Good Samaritan" status protection so that citizens could not be sued for doing their duty.

This warning is a reminder that everyone of us must remain ever viligant.  Under the Militia Act of 1903, all adult males are legally members of the unorganized militia, and each of us should take that responsibility seriously and soberly.  As the passengers on Flight 93 showed us six years ago, we are sometimes the FIRST, LAST, and BEST line of defenseagainst attacks on us, our families, and our nation.

Just because the Lefty grab asses in the Democrat party lack the testicular fortitude to do the right thing does not mean we citizens are excused from doing the same.

The Islamofacists and their fellow travelers want to kill us.  They don't want to have us leave the Middle East.  They want to kill you, me, our children, and our families.  And they don't care how they do it.

Keep your head up, your eyes open, and courage ready.

Our lefty presidential candidates have all but endorsed the idea of women in combat.  They don't want to reinstitute the draft, but, they say if one is reinstituted, 18 year old girls should be required to register with Selective Service.

Brilliant idea.

Elaine Donnelly, long a crusader against the stupid idea of putting women into direct combat, has a great response over at The Tank on National Review Online.

Someone please lock these lefties up in a cage.  The uniformed services are not a social experiment.

From the Oregonian:

The two boys tore down the hall of Patton Middle School after lunch, swatting the bottoms of girls as they ran--what some kids later said was a common form of greeting.

But bottom-slapping is against policy in McMinnville Public Schools. So a teacher's aide sent the gawky seventh-graders to the office, where the vice principal and a police officer stationed at the school soon interrogated them.

After hours of interviews with students the day of the February incident, the officer read the boys their Miranda rights and hauled them off in handcuffs to juvenile jail, where they spent the next five days.

Now, Cory Mashburn and Ryan Cornelison, both 13, face the prospect of 10 years in juvenile detention and a lifetime on the sex offender registry.

During the vaunted CNN/YouTube debate, Senator Barak Obama was asked if he would "meet separately, without precondition, during the first year of your administration . . . with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea, in order to bridge the gap that divides our countries."

Without hesitation, he said "You betcha".  Actually, he said "I would".  Which of course, set off a firestorm.

But, proving that the spin is worse than the b.s., his staffer proved once of Barak Obama's worse tendencies: poor hiring decisions.

Jihad Joe is announcing that he is apparently now being sued by Mayor Barrie "Headlights" Tilghman.

I want to offer a service to the ENTIRE blogosphere.  If there are any lawyers out there reading this (Bill?  Hadley?  Don?  George?) who can slip by the courthouse and pick up a copy of the papers, let me know at blog@gunpowderchronicle.com. I'll send you my fax number, and you can fax them over to me.  I'll scan and post the entire text of the lawsuits here, and provide comments where I can.

Let me again restate that although I think Jihad Joe is a repugnant little troll, I think using the courts to silence bloggers is bad fom, and shamelessly stupid.

Andy Harris now posting a weekly update over at Jihad Joe's site, AQD.

What is he thinking?  If Andy thinks this will gain him credibility, I'd have to question his wisdom.

The house cleaning at the Baltimore City Police Department continues.  The Daily Slime in Salisbury is reporting that Police Department spokesman Matt Jablow has been fired and replaced by an aide to Mayor Sheila Pratt Dixon.

The Calvert Street Communist Party Newsletter's Commissar-in-Chief, not usually prone to common sense columns, has a particularly clear and well-thought-out one on why the zero tolerance policies of Ed Norris and Kevin Clark worked-- and why abandoning that policy got Leonard Hamm shown the door.

Club for Growth highlights a CBS News/New York Times poll question.  The results are interesting, but the bigger issue is how poorly worded the question is.
