George "Nero" Bush, the gelded President without a national security staff worthy of the name, has taken a long hard look into Vlad Putin's soul and has urinated himself.  While Russian Imperialism rages in long-time ally Georgia, Nero fiddles, and the cities burn.

There are days when I love Schadenfrude.  No, not streudel.  Schadenfrude... the Germanic notion of taking joy in the pratfalls and stupidity of your opponents.  And as the John Edwards story reached its zenith yesterday, and continues to entertain today, I cannot help but take joy in the fall of this deviant, blow-hard, rat-fucker trial lawyer from Nawth Carolina.  Because yes, John, there are indeed two Americas.

Readers of my missives would not be surprised to know that I am no great fan of Senator John McCain.  And as we get closer to the election, my lackluster feelings for the author of McCain-Feingold only grow.  Quite frankly, if I have to listen to another "my friends" again, I might be forced to turn it into a drinking game.

Oh Wait.  Someone's already done that.

No, not the heart of the old Confederacy, but the former republic of the Soviet Union.  This is bad news.  Georgia and Russia have been at each other's throats for some time.  Other than Ukraine, Georgia was one of the former separatist republics that hurts the most, because it provides direct access to the trans-Caucusus oil fields and deeper into Central Asia.  In fact, one of the primary pipelines for bringing oil out of Central Asia runs right through it.  And that is why this is not good.

There will be NO Olympics in this house this year.

I cannot, in good conscience, support the International Olympic Committee and its 2008 Olympics in Beijing.  The government of the so-called People's Republic of China is an anti-moral, despicable, mysognistic tyranny that engages in the wholesale genocide of its people. They deny even the basic human rights to their citizens.  And their leaders are nothing more than an octogenarian collection of Sopranos-like thugs and murderers.

Michael Medved has a great post over at Townhall.com about the utter and incomparable lie that is the Congressional "apology" for slavery.

Yet another argument against reparations:  if we cannot discuss the horrifying institution of slavery honestly and clearly, we defintely should not be held responsible for actions over which we had no control.

And if this position makes me a racist, so be it.

The slavery reparation controversy is swirling again.  It seems we never can have a serious discussion on race in this country without this subject coming up.  As always, it generates more heat than light.

Proponents of slavery reparations have some serious hurdles to cross, however, and unless they start doing so in a responsible and straightforward manner, they may just ignite a fire that consumes them.

Baltimore County Grupenfuhrer Executive Jim Smith is a dog with a bone.  He has decided that he wants to take the case of the LNG terminal at the old Beth Steel shipyard to the US Supreme Court.  According to his lapdogs at the Calvert Street Communist Party Newsletter, Smith claims that "It's for the country and the sake of the county that we'll be pursuing this."

Uh, no.  It's what is best for his political ambitions.

Get a free house, contributions to pay taxes, and a free trip to Disneyland.

Then mortgage it all with a risky high-interest loan... and default on it.

What do you call that?  Extreme Stupidity.

I only hope that this family chooses not to have any more children. This genetic line has propagated long enough.

The Senate Select Committee on Ethics thinks that delivering babies for free is an ethical violation of Senate Rules.  That's right-- the ratfucking Democrat leadership is driving through a censure through the Senate Ethics Committee targeted at Senator Dr. Tom Colburn, who continues to deliver babies for free at Muskogee Regional Medical Center.
