As usual, the drive-by media has totally missed a statement by Barack Obama that should worry many. Luckily, Powerline has picked up on it.  In a speech on July 2, Barack Obama stated:

We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.

Wow.  A civilian national security force that is just as "powerful" and just as "strong" and just as "well-funded".

Over at Human Events, Chuck Norris tries to deliver a roundhouse that wildly misses its mark. Arguing that we can improve government by drastically shrinking the House of Representatives to a single Representative per state, Chuck completely misses the cattle drive by ignoring how and why the "House of Representatives" is based on proportional representation-- and why his idea of moving to static representation would not help the country.

The Heller decision recently announced by the Supreme Court is a landmark decision, for it enshrines the rights of the people to bear arms as an individual right. This is a huge victory for those Americans who believe that the purpose of the Constitution is to secure and guarantee our rights as individuals.

Pat Buchanan has a new book out in which he calls World War II an unecessary war, and questions how we fought it.

The great historian Victor Davis Hanson puts him on his ass with a classic roundhouse.

I have only one thing to add to Hanson's beating:  Buchanan is a Nixonite bastard of the highest order.

For a man with an Ivy League education, Barack Hussein Obama is the dumbest, most non-serious candidates for the President of the United States in my lifetime.  No, I take that back.  He is the dumbest, most non-serious candidate for President of the United States. (And let's keep in mind, that includes Pat Paulsen).

Let's examine the evidence.

I forgot to post this on Thursday:  Thursday, May 8, 2008 was the 60th Anniversary of the founding of Israel.  Of course, we didn't see much about this in our anti-Semitic drive-by-media, whose love and admiration for the camel-frakking terrorists like Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, et al. is well established.

Israel is a remarkable country of remarkable people.  The only liberal democracy in the Middle East, she is a staunch ally of the United States and a friend and defender of freedom for all her people -- including her Arab citizens.  In fact, it is not an exaggeration to say that her Arab citizens enjoy greater freedom and liberty under and Israeli government than they would under ANY Arab regime.

Mona Charen has a good rejoinder to the lies -- spread by complete ass-clowns like the shameful Jimmah Carter -- about Israel.

It was 75 years ago TODAY that Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist German Workers' Party assumed power in Germany after winning national elections.

Remember that evil rarely knocks loudly.  We let it in the door when we fail to do the right thing becaue it is easier to do the popular thing.
