Earlier today, in my explanation for why I would not vote for John McCain in the Primary, I made the point that until government gets less involved in our lives, you will never get money out of politics.  The relationship is directly proportional:  the more government interferes, the more people will coalesce into our organizations to lobby government ot either interfere less, or interfere more favorably.

The video game industry -- which is actually larger than the motion picture industry in the US -- is finally coming to that realization.

In part II of my continuing series (part I is here) on who I will NOT vote for in the Maryland Primary, I focus on my next subject/victim:  Senator John McCain.

Being John McCain means you get to treat people like shit.  Apparently, McCain-Feingold extends to our right to show displeasure with speechifying, self-indulgent men who suffer from LDS.  From the beautiful and vivacious Miichelle Malkin, we learn that Senator John "My Best Friend is a Drunken Murderer" McCain threatened to cancel a speech today after he was nearly booed off the stage:

Sen. John McCain threatened Tuesday to cut short a speech to union leaders who booed his immigration views and later challenged his statements on organized labor and the Iraq war.

“If you like, I will leave,” McCain told the AFL-CIO’s Building and Construction Trades Department, pivoting briefly from the lectern. He returned to the microphone after the crowd quieted.

“OK, then please give me the courtesy I would give you.”

Secretary of State? Yes.  I'd love for him to tell Iran where to shove it.

Secretary of Defense? Maybe.

President of the United States.  Never.

The Wall Street Journal has an interesting article up about plans by head spymaster Mike McConnell to basically read and parse every bit and byte that crosses the Internet.

Why does government think it has or even needs this power?

In a news conference Deanna Favre announced she will be the starting QB for the Packers this coming Sunday. Deanna asserts that she is qualified to be starting QB because she has spent the past 16 years married to Brett while he played QB for the Packers.  During this period of time she became familiar with the definition of a corner blitz, and is now completely comfortable with other terminology of the Packers offense.  A survey of Packers fans shows that 50% of those polled supported the move.

Does this sound idiotic and unbelievable to you? Well,
Hillary Clinton makes the same claims as to why she is qualified to be President and 50% of democrats polled agreed.  She has never run a City, County, or State. When told Hillary Clinton has experience because she has 8 years in the white house, Dick Morris stated "so has the pastry chef".

The law is an ass when it allows lawsuits like this to proceed.

In this case, Jose Padilla -- a convicted terrorist -- with his fellow travelers at the National Litigation Project at the Lowenstein International Human Rights Clinic at Yale Law Schoo, is attempting to pull of the great leftist coup:  use the courts to reverse acts of the legislature they don't agree with.

The law is an ass.  Kill all the lawyers.  Let's start with Yale.

The lovely and vivacious Michelle Malkin has unearthed some startling news:  The Federal Bureau of Investigation has had wiretaps shutdown because they failed to pay the phone bill.

Federal Bureau of Investigation, or Incompetence?  You decide...

On December 18, 2007, General Electric got a huge boost to its bottom line when the Senate voted t o essentially ban incandescent light bulbs.

So where are the green weenie environmentalist whacko anti-corporatist "no corporate welfare" types now?

You see, not only did GE's stock jump, but GE will now have a great reason to lay off a ton of workers.  You see, GE manufacturers all of its incandescent bulbs in the United States-- where costs are higher and environmental regulations are very strict.

But it manufactures its CFLS (and other fancy technology bulbs) in China, where manufacturing costs are a fraction of the US, and environmental regulations are, well... you know.  They just don't have them.  (Trust me, been to Shenzhen 4 times and Hong Kong 5.  Its bad. Really bad.)

Chinese factories are dirtier, more polluting, and make no effort to be environmentally respectful, much less friendly.  China still uses lead in their gasoline.  And they could tell you what a CO2 scrubber was if it was sitting in front of you.  Oh, and forget energy efficiency.

So what will be the net gain from the switch to CFLs (which also contain a small amount of mercury, and as a result, cannot just be thrown out with the trash)?

I'm thinking a net negative.

Uhh, I don't think so.  Or, in the words of State Senator Clay Davis from HBO's "The Wire":

"Sheeeeeeeeeeit."

How does the woman who has been the presumptive nominee -- backed by all the big money, all the big media, and all the big players, including the Hungarian-born corruptobillionaire George Soros -- become a "comeback kid" for winning the primary that EVERYONE thought she would win until just a week ago, when she lost to Barack Obama in small midwest corn-pone state?

How does this happen, except by gross stupidity on the part of EVERY FRAKKING MAJOR, MINOR, AND TWO-BIT NEWS OUTLET ON THE PLANET?

Talk about the "willing suspension of disbelief".

Who is writing the copy at these news outlets?  Woody Allen?  (Not Jon Stewart, that's for sure. His show last night was so bad, the stale danish in the green room was more entertaining).

That is exactly how stupid the Clinton Campaign and the MSM think you are!

Oh yeah, and the Ragin' Cajun is coming back.  Luckily this time, the only bimbo eruptions we have to worry about are the words coming out of HRC's mouth.

When I posted "Who I Will Not Vote For in the Maryland Primary, Part I", declaring why I would not vote for Ron Paul, I was not aware of how ugly some of his deeper philosophies go.

Today I found this story on The New Republic about his pamphleteering from a few decades ago.  All I can say is, I am glad I got it right.  Since Mr. Paul has failed to adequately separate himself from some of the beliefs espoused in the pamphlets bearing his name in the Masthead, I can only believe that they are his thoughts and feelings.

I will definitely not vote for him for anything.  And I am glad I said so early.
