Uggghh... I am trying to squeeze one out...John McCain has started a brand new attack against Mitt Romney, claiming he was for timetables before he was against them.  It's a pretty egregious lie when you look at what McCain said and what Romney really said.

For a man so concerned about personal "honor", you would think he might come up with a better angle of attack, or at least "choose Zone 5 and extend and escape"*.

Michelle Malkin has all the details here.

* Can you name the movie this quote is from?

I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny, and I say amnesty now, amnesty tomorrow, amnesty forever. John McCain believes in complete and total amnesty for illegal aliens.  I don't care what he says, because we all know that politicians lie.  And powerful politicians lie powerfully.  I am more interested in his actions, and with the endorsement of amnesty-loving Florida Governor Charlie Crist, the amnesty argument should move front and center for "Reasons to Not Only Vote Against, But to Despise John McCain".

What's the difference between the Maryland GOP in the General Assembly and the French Army?

The Calvert Street Communist Party Newsletter is reporting that Baltimore City Schools Chief Andres Alonso is proposing that the schools pay up to $110 per student if they increase their scores on the state graduation exams.

It has finally come to this: full surrender.  The public schools of Baltimore City can longer educate the children in their charge, and their parents (when there are any who aren't hopped up or stinking drunk) can't make them learn, so now we will bribe them.

Tell Me Lies, Tell Me Sweet Little LiesThe Clinton's had "Don't Stop... Thinking About Tomorrow". O'Guvnah -- who fashions himself the next version of Bubba -- has his own little Fleetwood Mac song.  Can you guess which one?

No, it's not Tusk. Not hardly.  That might make him an Elephant.  And it's not The Chain.  Or Rhiannon (although she is an Irish witch... hmmm..)  Gold Dust Woman? (now who would THAT be?)

Hmm... there is really only one choice...

Now that certain legislators got caught taking money during the Special Session (something which is completely forbidden during the regular 90-day session), the General Assembly is scrambling to cover their petards.

Apparently, Senator ManPerm Miller had to personally admonish his fellow Senators today not to do deposit any checks during the 90-day session, even if the money was received before it. "We have to avoid even the appearance of impropriety," said ManPerm from the dais in the Senate Chamber.

Ooooh Reaaaaally?

In O'Guvnah's make believe world in Soddom on the Severn, money does grow on trees, my fellow Marylanders. And just like trees, you can burn it without worry of penalty or retribution from we merry little serfs out here in the hinterlands.

In fact, you can blow $65 million in voting maching technology before it is even paid off, and no one will bat an eye.

Michael over at Monoblogue asks this question in examing the story in the Calvert Street Communist Party Newsletter about declining Republican registration numbers in the face of skyrocketing Democrat registration numbers.

He lays out a decent analysis, even going so far as to highlight the principles of the Republican Party and ask some poignant questions.

But I think the answer is much simpler, and the Maryland Surrender Caucus is not going to like it.

"Change".  It's the only word we hear on the campaign trail today.  Every politician claims they are "agents of change".  Horseshit.  Most politicians aren't smart enough to change their underwear daily with a personal assistant whispering "BVDs, Senator" in their ear.

Americans allegedly want "change".  Yeah, right.  If you believe that one, you'll believe this:  After he lost the NFC Divisional Playoffs, Tony Romo got dumped by Jessica Simpson and she is now living with me and doing my laundry ("BVDs, Jessica... no starch.")

O'Guvnah is no businessman.  Not at all.  He is used to making the numbers up as he goes along.  If state government were under the same reporting requirements as public companies are -- thanks to Sarbanes-Oxley -- O'Guvnah would be doing a perp-walk down Calvert Street right now.  His current budget is a perfect example of that.
