When I posted "Who I Will Not Vote For in the Maryland Primary, Part I", declaring why I would not vote for Ron Paul, I was not aware of how ugly some of his deeper philosophies go.

Today I found this story on The New Republic about his pamphleteering from a few decades ago.  All I can say is, I am glad I got it right.  Since Mr. Paul has failed to adequately separate himself from some of the beliefs espoused in the pamphlets bearing his name in the Masthead, I can only believe that they are his thoughts and feelings.

I will definitely not vote for him for anything.  And I am glad I said so early.

I was watching State Circle with Jeff Salkin on PBS last Thursday night (yes, conservatives do watch PBS... hey, we pay for it, too.) and I had to listen to Senate President Thomas "Mike" "Man Perm" Miller talk.

Rarely in state politics do you hear one man speak so many so words, but say so little with so little meaning.

Now that the slots hurdle has been half-cleared through the fourth-quarter punt by the General Assembly, it was only a matter of time before the "casino" wardrums started beating.

And they are banging like drum corps, according to O'Malley Gazette.

John Paterakis must be pleased.  He'll finally be able to use that Marriott for what he wanted all along.

Jack Kemp has endorsed John McCain for President:

"I am proud to support John McCain for president," said Jack Kemp. "John McCain is the only candidate who can be trusted to cut taxes, eliminate wasteful spending and enact conservative pro-growth policies to expand the economy. John McCain is the best choice to lead America to a more prosperous and secure future."

Are you kidding me?

Taxes, that is. Compulsory contributions to the state revenue pool.  Based upon what?  A moral judgement.

My uncle is fond of telling me that you "can't legislate morality".  He is, of course, wrong.  Our entire tax code is replete with legislated morality.

That is all sin taxes are.

Hillary Rodham Clinton, in her campaign for President, has announced that she loves to reenact moments in military history.

Most importantly:  April 29-May 1, 1975.

There is no way that I can cover this entire topic in a single blog post, but I think it is a trenchant question now that the Chairborne Brigade and REMFs (Rear Echeclon Mother Fuckers) in the Pentagon have gone and fired MAJ Stephen Coughlin, USMCR.

According to Bill Gertz at the Washington Times:

Stephen Coughlin, the Pentagon specialist on Islamic law and Islamist extremism, has been fired from his position on the military's Joint Staff. The action followed a report in this space last week revealing opposition to his work for the military by pro-Muslim officials within the office of Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England.

He had run afoul of a key aide to Mr. England, Hasham Islam, who confronted Mr. Coughlin during a meeting several weeks ago when Mr. Islam sought to have Mr. Coughlin soften his views on Islamist extremism.

So can we win the war on terror?

Word from the lovely and vivacious Michelle Malkin on White House plans for an economic stimulus package, as they begin to panic over the subprime mortgage mess, the price of energy, and the "possibility" of recession.

Why is it that politicians always return to failed notions of Keynesianism when they think the economy needs a "stimulus"?

It's as if George W. learned nothing from his own policies...

Austin Shlick, head of the Attorney General's Office on Civil Litigation, was caught in court yesterday with his pants on fire, according to the Calvert Street Communist Party Newsletter.

Today, word came from the Calvert Street Communist Party Newsletter that the state GOP has asked the Attorney General of Maryland to investigate the fact that the House of Delegate's Chief Clerk, Mary Monahan, admitted that documentation was forged in order to support the contention that permission was granted for the State Senate to adjourn for more than three days.

Gansler's response, in the vernacular of Annapolis politics:  Go Fuck Yourself.
