According to the O'Malley Gazette, the fix is in on the Guvnah's proposed tax package.  Senate President Mike "ManPerm" Miller and Speaker Michael "Double Dipper" Busch feel confident that they can deliver both houses for the latest rape of Marylanders by our "beloved" government.

The irrepressible Larry Elder has a great column at Human Events this week detailing the crazy nature of people who think they fit into the "have nots".

But more importantly-- he takes to task those members of the Stalinist Collectivism party who would lie and cheat about the mythical "two Americas" to exacerbate the problem.

To anyone interested, I am starting a new business.  I am starting a new cigar label that will be sold through a website and some local cigar shops.

According to the O'Malley Gazette, Peter Franchot is coming out against slots because he thinks it will only open the door to casinos across Maryland, saying "This predatory gambling industry goes where the money is."

You don't say...

Last year, the National Federation for the Blind (headquartered in beautiful Baltimore, MD) sued Target Stores because their website was not fully compatible with "screen readers" used by the blind and thus violated the American with Disabilities Act.

This week, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals-- which is more representative of the cantina in Star Wars than American jurisprudence-- certified the case as a class action and allowed it to move forward.

John Stossel hits a home run with his latest article on national health insurance.

I have long said that the problem with health care and health insurance in America is not there is too much capitalism involved, it is that there isn't.

Exxon/Mobil is now up to FOUR stations in Nothern Maryland that have had serious problems pouring MTBE into the ground.

First, there was the Exxon in Upper Crossroads (MD 165 and MD 152) outside Fallston.

Second, there was the 26,000 gallon gas spill in Jacksonville at Four Corners.    Jacksonville thought they had it bad when the US Army virtually destroyed the underground water supply when Nike Missile Fuel was spilled.  That was peanuts compared to the 26,000 gallon leak that was "discovered" last Winter.

Third, the Parkton Exxon closed this winter after the MTBE levels got too high and Exxon said "to hell with it".

The fourth station in the list -- another Meadowcroft station, by the way, just like in Parkton -- is the Hereford Exxon on Mt. Carmel Road.  The station will close in a couple of weeks for almost three months as tanks are replaced as a result of the MTBE leaks.

Guvnah Marty The Mick O'Malley, General Secretary of Maryland's own version of the Communist Party USA, is at long last starting to unveil his strategy to overcome the "structural deficit" that a decade of teat-sucking by the General Politburo in Soddom on the Severn has given us.

His strategy can be broken down into three separate programs:

1)  Break any and all campaign promises used to whore votes from all his left-wing, on-the-dole constituents in metropolitan Baltimore and the Washington suburbs.

2)  Raise each and every tax he possibly can and kill small business.

3)  Continue to let his politico buddies and financial supporters suck at the teat of Maryland government while he screws the actual hard-working citizens of the state.
