The One is a hypocrite, which all things being equal, makes him your average, ordinary, run of the mill politician. Why is he a hypocrite you ask? Because The One wishes to impose his socialistic mores on all of America to take care of those he deems worthy, while his own family suffers in loathsome and abject poverty.
That's right, The One cannot even take care of his own Aunt or his half-brother as they struggle to make ends meet. While his mother lay dying -- according to his own "life story" -- and battling insurance companies, this Harvard-trained lawyer could not be bothered to raise a finger to argue on her behalf. And when his dead grandmother's alleged racism made for an interesting campaign allegory, she found herself face down on Main Street with the marks from bus tires on her back.
This millionaire senator, who can afford a palacial mansion in upscale Hyde Park, and whose wife pulls down a cool $321,000 thousand as a mouthpiece for University of Chicago Hospitals, cannot possibly provide support to a destitute Aunt (a lawbreaker under a deportation order, by the way) and a half-brother in Kenya living in a shack.
Yet he deigns to tell all of us that oppose his redistributionist, socialist, fascist tax policies that we are selfish and unpatriotic.
This is the typical liberal Democrat approach: compensate for your own failings by imposing your socialist worldview on others. If you cannot be made to be decent, maybe you can force others to act in your stead.
Yes, hope and change you can believe in, indeed.
