You better not dare challenge The One. After all, he is The One, and you are just one of the little people. Even if The One dares to walk up and interrupt your day with his entourage of Hari-Krishna like followers in the press, you should bow your head, and address The One with reverence and humility.
Otherwise, he will release the hounds on you. Claudia Rosett has all the details.
Just wait until he has the IRS working for him, which has ten times the investigations budget of the FBI. Ever wonder why 19 terrorists could board planes, take them over, and crash them into buildings? Maybe because tax crimes are more imporant to the moneyed whores and cousin-frakkers in Congress?
What do you think The One will do with that?

Is it too much to ask the Republican Party to not use a guy who is a total liar as their election yer symbol? THAT is the real issue. Joe the fake plumber lied to everyone, yet McCain still thinks the guy is admirable! He is a tax cheat who claimed to be in the process of buying a business (not true) that would give him a $250,000 salary (not true), and yet was undecided on the election (not true). When fake Joe was exposed, does he admit the lies and go away? Nope. He thinks he should run for Congress. And you guys feel bad for this genius? Not me. McCain's continued use of this fraud shows how disorganized his campaign is--all they had to do was spend 5 minutes checking the guy's credentials before touting him as a potential victim of Obama's tax policies (wrong, by the way), and yet they couldn't even do that. Mccain does not deserve to win.

Well, fuck face, when your socialist little bastard stops lying his ass off about ACORN, Ayers, Davis, The New Party, his illegal contributions, etc. I will give a shit. Until then, fuck you and the horse you rode in. Your guy is a scum sucking bag of subcutaneous pus.

Said with the eloquence and thoughtfulness of a knee-jerk conservative! What, are you the head of McCain's campaign strategy? Because all you guys seem to do is attack Obama. What's the matter? Afraid to stand up on the issues? By the way, did you just learn the phrase "subcutaneous pus?" You seem to be using it a lot lately. You really should check your blood pressure.

Let's put things this way FF...if Joe the Plumber were overtly Republican, do you honestly think Obama would have answered his question? And that's all it was - had someone with a video camera not caught the moment on tape we'd have never known about it and Joe the Plumber would continue toiling in relative obsurity in Toledo, Ohio. And if I recall the quote correctly, he didn't say he was undecided but he was coy about who he'd vote for - "that's between me and the voting booth." I also think he stated that it was his goal to buy the business, not necessarily that he was in the process. Regardless, it's not deniable that Obama said he wanted to "spread the wealth" and all of this killing of the messenger you're attempting to engage in won't change the glimpse into Obama's real ideas. By the way, since we haven't seen all of the details of Obama's tax plan you're not correct in saying that JtP won't be a victim of Obama's policies; after all, if Bush's tax cuts aren't renewed EVERYONE gets a tax increase. And I don't think Obama's going to lift a finger to keep Bush's tax cuts in place.

Michael, If McCain's camp had vetted the guy, Joe the Plumber would still be in obscurity, but they didn't do that. One more example of McCain's impulsivity. So far, McCain has "spread the wealth" to rich guys (i.e, the government bailout). Republicans have been playing a game of redistributing wealth to rich guys via beneficial tax laws for years, so pretending outrage when Obama wants to tax the top 5% of the population a tiny bit more is ridiculous. You can isolate a single part of Obama's plan and say it might cost more for a guy making $250,000, but it would raise his taxes by a grand 3%. The rest of Obama's plan, particularly the healthcare plan, would dramatically LOWER costs for middle class Americans. You, Michael, would have lower taxes under Obama. By the way, thanks for debating on the issues rather than GC's fondness for nasty language attacking people who come to his site. If you don't want contrary opinions, GC, just end the comments!

FF, If you don't like getting attacked, why don't YOU stay away. It's MY blog, not yours.

I don't mind getting attacked, it just makes you look foolish, undermines any potential good point that you might have, and it raises your blood pressure. You should thank me for being pretty much the only person who gets any comments here.

Well FF, without the details in front of me you could be right and my taxes possibly could be less under Obama - however, when I stand for a fairer and flatter tax system I stand in support of one for everyone. If we went to a straight consumption-based tax based on what one spends that would be an even better system. But I also recall Bill Clinton ran on a middle-class tax cut and once he safely was elected, threw the outgoing Bush Administration under the bus by saying something along the lines of "I worked as hard as I could, but the financial situation was worse than I was told and I can't give the middle class a tax cut." Then he raised taxes and taxed Social Security benefits for the first time. He's also planning on spending a LOT of money when the government is already in hock up to their eyes because of commitments made. It's going to be tough to have a second Bill of Rights without the coin to provide it.
