The Wall Street Journal Europe details the visit of a German military attache of Iran, where he attends a rally featuring President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad promising to "break the hand of the invader" amidst chants of "Death to Israel" and "Down With Israel".
Now, I may be a little old-fashioned and stuffy, but it would seem to me that a German military official would be particularly sensitive not to be caught dead at an anti-Jewish rally. One has to consider how completely stupid and vapid this particular military attache must be to do such a phenomenally dumb thing.
Was this German military attache completely unaware of his country's history? Or, is he one of those apologists that likes to claim the Wehrmacht was uninvolved in the "Final Solution"?
Hopefully, the modern Wehrmacht commanders will rip this officers shoulderboards off, break his sword in half, and drum him out of the army.
