In its coverage of the annual NAACP Convention, the Baltimore Sun showed the intense liberal bias in its reporting.  I know that is no surprise at all to readers of this blog, but it should be highlighted, if for no other reason, that keep our boot on the neck of this worthless and miserable news outlet as it continues its death spiral into the sewers of Calvert Street.

So what is my raving about?  This paragraph:

Just one year short of its centennial, the nation's oldest civil rights organization in May elected its youngest president and CEO - Benjamin Jealous, a 35-year-old human rights activist. Many NAACP leaders hope his youth and background can help recapture the organization's strength and relevance. Jealous will give his first remarks to the NAACP's rank-and-file membership today.

Since when are "civil" rights only defined in terms of race?  Are not any of our rights those specifically enumerated in the Bill of Rights?  And by that definition, the National Rifle Association is in fact, the oldest civil rights organization in the United States of America.  I am tired of the race lobby in this country trying to co-opt the name of  "civil" rights for their own purposes.  All of our enumerated rights -- and even those non-enumerated rights -- are "civil" rights, and they apply to men and women regardless of race, creed, or color.

So, Tim Ryan, as you watch your stock sink like a fat woman on the Titanic, why not get it just a little straighter?
