And by enema, I mean a CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION. Every 20 years, the Legislature is required to poll the citizens of Maryland through a referendum vote whether they want a constitutional convention.  The next opportunity for such a vote is 2010, and I think we need to start working long and hard to make sure that every citizen of the State of Maryland votes YES! to such a convention.

Such a movement is underway, although very much in its nascent stages at www.mdconvention.org.

A constitutional convention is important, because Maryland is slowly evolving into a one-party, fascist state where the government is mother, the government is father.  And dysfunctional does not begin to describe the quality of "parenting" in Maryland.

As free-born citizens, we must work to restrain the power and diminish the prestige of our state government.  We must rein-in the worst excesses of state power and establish firewalls against the natural expansion of power that occur with government.  Never again should we be subjugated by an entrenched political class in Annapolis, aged and decrepit, unresponsive to the wishes and desires of the citizenry.

Over the next several months, I will begin layout out an argument for a new Maryland constitution for a new century, that returns us to the natrual and proper relationship of the governed to the governors.  I hope you will join me in this venture and we seek out to build a better future for ourselves and our children.
