O'Reilly has his "No Spin Zone", and Mahmoud has his No Truth Zone.
Mahmoud is trying to claim credit for the sabbatical that Bud the Blogger is taking. Umm, no. Some people in the blogosphere actually have real lives.
Lives where they spend time with friends and families, not chasing old ladies like BPT around the city taking pictures of her ass.
Lives where we work hard and pay our taxes, not bailing on water bills and property taxes by clearly perjuring ourselves on a document so easy to read a monkey could understand it. Just not someone who went to public school in the Bronx.
Lives where we might might want to disconnect from the Internet and enjoy the simple things in like, like feeding a calf with a milk bottle, or cutting the grass, or making fun of state highway workers who don't know how to use chainsaws.
Some of us are real men and real women, with interests beyond the mundane happenings of things in a town where we don't live. Real men and real women who don't need to "cower in the shower", seeking the protection of our loved ones' most prized protection. Real men who don't feel the need to assault their women. Or brag about how many businesses they (claim to) have owned.
Some of us don't feel the need to lie to court commissioners to seek peace orders, or cry about how our families are put under the spotlight... after we put them under the spotlight.
Some of us just want to take a break sometimes, drink an adult beverage of our choice, and throw grenades in the fishing hole, pretending you are a fish. (Ooops... I think that last part was for my inner monologue.)
Some of us -- from time to time -- have decided to quit blogging. But not because of Mahmoud's intimidation (which is rarely face to face, like a real man would do)-- but because our families asked us to focus more on them than a damn blog.
But none of us is currently required to stay away from the Salisbury Zoo, or has a case on the STET docket. Or has a wife who was declared by a FEDERAL JUDGE to have had an integral part of contributing to a sexually hostile work environment, while attempting to claim sexual harassment.
