Completely unable to meet its obligations under its own charter, the United Nations is now blaming global warming for the genocide in Darfur.

From Sunday's Washington Post:

It would be natural to view these as distinct developments. In fact, they are linked. Almost invariably, we discuss Darfur in a convenient military and political shorthand — an ethnic conflict pitting Arab militias against black rebels and farmers. Look to its roots, though, and you discover a more complex dynamic. Amid the diverse social and political causes, the Darfur conflict began as an ecological crisis, arising at least in part from climate change.

Two decades ago, the rains in southern Sudan began to fail. According to U.N. statistics, average precipitation has declined some 40 percent since the early 1980s. Scientists at first considered this to be an unfortunate quirk of nature. But subsequent investigation found that it coincided with a rise in temperatures of the Indian Ocean, disrupting seasonal monsoons. This suggests that the drying of sub-Saharan Africa derives, to some degree, from man-made global warming.

That's UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon blowing the trumpet of stupidity and feckless leadership.  Yes, that about sums up the United Nations-- a feckless, worthless cabal of scum-sucking dictators and homicidal maniacs.

Darfur is about Muslims killing Christians and animists.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Global Warming has about as much to do with genocide as drug abuse has with healthy living.  That no United States leader is wiling to call these miserable son-of-a-bitches to the carpet is embarrassing.  Even worse -- you have jackasses like Slow Joe Biden who worship at the alter of the United Nations.

Let's not forget the recent record of the United Nations.  Rawanda, anyone?  The rape of Africans by UN Peackeepers.  The ability to stop the transfer of weapons into Darfur by -- among other scum sucking ferile regimes as China!  Oil For Food corruption?  The Secretary General's son using his father's name to buy a Mercedes Benz tax free?

The United Nations is a ferret colony that should be kicked out of the United States and told to go meet elsewhere.  It is nothing more than a group of utter jackasses that does nothing more legitimize ditctators and murders and scum. It's time the United States stops funding this den of villainy and kicks them to the curb.

Notice to Presidential Candidates:  if you want my vote, propose cutting our funding amount.  If you want my money, propose sending them to Europe.  Let the Europeans commiserate with these bastards, since they like them so much.

Hate to go the broken record route, but if you want to vote for the presidential candidate most likely to kick the UN to the curb, you want RON PAUL. as for the Secretary General - just another politico parroting the big lie about anthropogenic global warming.
It may very well be that climate change has affected Sudan in the last 20 years - just as it has affected many other places at many other times throughout the existience of our planet. Saner voices are being heard and the shrillness of those who worship at the altar of environmentalism is a testament to their fear that the truth is at odds with their beliefs.
