The "myth" that the Bush II White House values "loyalty" above all else, has been shattered in recent weeks.

The truth is that George W. Bush, like any second-term President is as hungry for a "legacy" as anyone other worthless elected official.

And he keeps proving it.

First, there was the guilty verdict -- and the refusal of bail pending appeal -- for Scooter Libby.  The decision on bail handed down by Judge Reggie Walton was disgraceful.  His claim of being "threatened" was judicial grandstanding at best.  Not to mention the fact that Patrick Fitzgerald essentially set up Scooter LIbby -- pushing the interviews about who leaked Valerie Plame's name long after he actually knew who it was.  But has President Jorge done anything about it?  Nope.

Second, he let his worthless Secretary of Defense -- who only got that job after President Jorge threw Don Rumsfeld under the bus -- betray Marine General Peter Pace and push him out, because they were concerned there would be a fight in the Senate.  Apparently, President Jorge is so afraid of Ted Kennedy and Harry Reid, he wet his pants.  And General Pace -- a veteran of Hue -- joined Don Rumsfeld under the wheels of a Greyhound bus.  Unfortutunately for Jorge and Robert Gates, Pace wouldn't go quietly and forced them to relieve him and make it  a bigger issue. The fact is, Peter Pace has more honor and digity and integrity than exists in the entire West Wing.

Third, having gotten elected to office by the slimmest of margins two times in a row largely because Conservatives stuck by him like a Jack Bull, he decided to kick us to the curb so he could buddy up to his friends at Alcoholics Anonymous (like Ted Kennedy) on the immigration bill.

Loyalty, schmoyalty.  This President is a ratfucker.  He would frack a rat to get what he wants.

Lets just hope our fine soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines aren't next on his list of those he wants to screw over.

Amazing that it took so long for true conservatives to come around to the fact that Dubya isn't one of them.
Some of us had it figured out after 9/11 was used as an excuse to grow government, and again after No Child Left Behind was foisted on us (instead of following Reagan's wishes and ABOLISHING the Dept of Education!)
When I first heard the phrase "War on Terror", I knew we were all being thrown under the bus - and this was in 2001!
Ron Paul is right - the Republicans deserve to lose and lose big because of the sellout of their base.
Bush has more in common with LBJ than he ever did with Reagan.
The only good thing to come out of this will be a Democrat administration in 08 that will inherit a soon-to-be bankrupt country - too broke to do any more damage to We the People...
