From The North County News:

Dorotha "Dottie" Foster, 85, died of colon cancer May 19 at the Hereford farmhouse where she had lived since 1946.
I did not Mrs. Foster well, but the Fosters were neighbors of my grandparents.  Their farm was right next to my grandparent's farm on Miller Lane for over 80 years.  She was very kind and gracious the few times I met her, and my grandmother and mother spoke well of her.

My thoughts and prayers are with Vernon and his family.
