Cindy Sheehan has called it quits.

Her post is hilarious, self-centered, and self-righteous.  And dumb...

Her reference to Nixon's "Checkers" speech was stupid.  I think what she was really referring to was his 1962 "You Won't Have Me to Kick Around Anymore" Speech.  Unfortunately, with her head embedded so far up Hugo Chavez's ass, it was hard for her to recall the appropriate metaphor.

The most devastating comment to me was this: "The most devastating conclusion that I reached this morning, however, was that Casey did indeed die for nothing."  Written on the very day we honor those who gave their lives in service to this country, this shows a callous, shallow soul.  She couldn't derive meaning out of her son's sacrifice, so the rest of us are to blame.

Because it was all about her.

This woman makes me want to puke.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass, Cindy.

I think poor Cindy was an unwitting tool of the Left and her dissillusionment stems from her long-time-coming realization that this was the case.
She let herself be used and she remains a lightening rod for criticism that maybe should be directed not to the puppet, but to the puppeteers...

There are no victims, just volunteers.

At best, Cindy Sheehan was a shining example of what Lenin called a "useful idiot". At worst, she was a deranged, devious mother who used her son's sacrifice for her own edification.

Having seen her in action, I'll go with "useful idiot"
