Runaround Sue often claims that sbynews.com is a "news" site, claiming that he is Salisbury's most unbiased and reliable news source. But he is far from "unbiased" and "reliable". News sites don't publish pure rumor and speculation. News sites tend to confirm their sources. News sites tend to at least check out both sides of a story-- even if they only publish one side of it.
Runaround Sue does none of these things.
In one of his latest posts today, Runaround Sue repeats a rumor first posted over at www.thewatchdesk.com that the leadership of the Salisbury Fire Department -- namely Chief See and Deputy Chief Gordy-- have hired a private investigator to track down members and employees of the fire department who post at sbynews.com.
A normal person who doesn't need to spend his days fluffing his own ego and breaking his own arm patting himself on the back would immediately ask themselves "huh?"
Runaround Sue, of course, is not a normal person.
So, he fails to ask a few questions:
1) Should I believe everything written on the www.thewatchdesk.com, which can be notoriously negative toward the fire department leadership in any jurisdiction?
2) How could Chief See and Deputy Chief Gordy possibly add this type of encumbrance to the city budget without the approval of the city council? Wouldn't any such encumbrance be published in a budgetary line item somewhere?
3) Do Chief See and DC Gordy really give two craps about sbynews.com? After all, why not go after anyone posting at www.thewatchdesk.com, where the criticism is far more vicious on a per capita basis. After all, if it weren't for Maryland Judiciary Case Search, Runaround Sue wouldn't have a whole lot to post.
Just like the defamatory assertion that DC Gordy was threatening the jobs of firefighters who gave Runaround Sue information, the assertion that the leadership of the fire department would use a private investigator to track down firefighters reading Salisbury News is absurd on the face. Despite Runaround Sue's obvious paranoia, I can speak confidently that Bill Gordy could really give a crap what Runaround Sue thinks about him.
If Runaround Sue wants to ever regarded as real news site and not just some hick version of Page Six, he needs to do a little more investigative work and substantiate his reports more.
Unfortunately, his ego is inversely proportional to the size of his johnson, so that is quite unlikely.

JJ bitched about a radio reporter on 101.1FM yesterday on his blog. Apparently, she was rude to JJ. Can you believe the GALL of that women? My first thought was JJ, you wouldn't last a N.Y. minute in the real world of reporting. They'd eat you alive. You're correct Gun, he's the Page 6 of Delmarva.

He's a no talent HACK that could not survive in the real world that most of us live in. I honetsly believe all of us need to disengage with him, sit back and say and do nothing except to go to the blog polls each day and rate him terrible. Don't go on his site, don't respond to Anon comments, nothing. He won't be able to stand it. The explosion in Delmar will be heard in Ocean City. Yes, please do that. Please, go away. But you can't! You have to come to my site, just like Gunpowder. Just look at his posts. MOST of them are about me. Why, because he gets hits. Then look at the comments. The only volume on his entire site have to do with posts about me. ROTFLMAO! Keep it up Idiots, my numbers just keep rising. Also, I get more hits in 5 minuts any time of the day or night than Gunpowder gets in an entire day. Cry all you want on these Blogs, no one is actually listening because you get no hits. Just know I'm the guy reading and laughing at you Idiots any time I want. All I have to do is click on the anti Albero Blogs and laugh all the way to the Bank. Joe, I don't understand your infauation with "Hits". Many of them are people that hate you but come to see the train wreck. Runaround Sue, If my site is so unimportant in the grand scheme of things, why do you keep coming here? (For that matter, if John Robinson's radio show is so bad, why do you keep listening?) I agree that my little old opinion site is actually pretty inconsequential in the grand scheme of the world, the country, the state, and any other region you deign to consider. But then, I don't really care. It's my site, for me to post and vent. What YOU think of it really doesn't matter to me. If I get a bunch of eyeballs at it, that's fun. It's pretty cool. But I have a whole lot of more important things going on in my life, that if no one read my site, it wouldn't matter that much to me. I don't really need to strut around like Foghorn Leghorn drawing attention to myself. I am and have been loved by some great people in my measly 36 years. I've been able to do some pretty cool things because of that, too. I don't need a cheering crowd of sycophants and sad-sacks to feel good about myself. On the topic of the big lawsuit you promised, where are the papers? I have my crack legal team -- led by Lionel Hutz -- all lined up and rarin' to go. I wait here at home every single day, but still no papers. I have a feeling the only papers I'll ever see from you are rolling papers.

I have only recently come to this site, so you know. More importantly, have you looked in a mirror lately? Do you read your own crap here? 80% of everything you post is about Joe Albero, from what I can tell. YOU want to talk to ME about what site I go to or Radio Station I listen to?
