Unlike me, Soapbox got a two-fer: a legal threat AND a physical one:
Let it be known I know very well who you are as well, so you better be damn careful what you say. One step over the line with me Pal and you'll be visiting a lawyers office very quickly.
and:
Be VERY careful what you say because I will eat you alive in legal fees.
and, for the killer:
Don't be stupid and come back acting like a tough guy either because you have never met a man like me before and you'll regret it for as long as you life if you choose to screw with me.
All of this because of perfectly clear-headed criticism by Soapbox of Runaround Sue's blog post. Soapbox had gone so far as to accuse Runaround Sue of selective reporting.
Yes, that is how Runaround Sue plays the game. Respond with threats and grunts to bully his way to "superiority".
But still, threatening a lawsuit is one thing. Runaround Sue does this all the time, even as he screams about being sued by Chief Webster or Mayor Tilghman. Seems what is good for the goose is not good for the gander.
But that last quote seems to be a much more visceral threat to me. Question is, what will Sheriff Lewis or Chief Webster do about it? Will Davis Ruark re-open the STET docket relating to Runaround Sue's incursions at the Salisbury Zoo?
While Runaround Sue is entitled to his opinions, he is not entitled to threaten others who challenge them.
What will you do Sheriff? Chief? State's Attorney Ruark?
