1) Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Tx) did a HORRIBLE job filling in for John Conyers at Committee Chair.  At several points, she completely lost control of the committee.

2) Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Tx) needs to learn the House Rules.

3) Rep Ellison (D-Minn) does not like it when he can't get curt one-word answers to his stupid questions, and he really doesn't like it when he gets bitch-slapped by the witness.

4) The Democrats on the committee aren't really looking to find the truth (which would be nice to know, since it is clear that Attorney General Gonzales is a buffoon and an idiot and no one in his department seems to know what is going on).  They only want to get answers out of the witnesses that fit their worldview.

5) Monica Goodling's immunity didn't buy the committee Democrats any advantages, and they didn't learn anything important that she any more light on the matter.
