In its coverage of the annual NAACP Convention, the Baltimore Sun showed the intense liberal bias in its reporting.  I know that is no surprise at all to readers of this blog, but it should be highlighted, if for no other reason, that keep our boot on the neck of this worthless and miserable news outlet as it continues its death spiral into the sewers of Calvert Street.

Candace de Russy at Phi Beta Cons highlights controversy in the UK how to seventh grade boys were chastised for refusing to bow to Allah in a class demonstration of how Muslims worship.

Sometimes I think in the US we have overreacted in our "separation of church and state", but then the UK pops up with their whole Londonistan thing and I am once again comfortable with the tension we have.

Chastise two seventh grade boys?  Are you kidding me?  For refusing to pray to Allah?

Were I a parent of children forced to do such a thing, I would be ripping off heads and crapping down necks.

As I watched the meltdown of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac last week, I was reminded of the old adage that worst words you can hear in America are "I'm from the government and I'm here to help".

Why?  Because government is largely inept, incompetent, and unable.  Government could not plan a fart after lunch at Taco Bell .  And when government gets into areas that would be best left to the private sector, it's one disaster after another.

On Friday, Brian Griffiths decided I need a trip to the woodshed vis-a-vis my ideas on Campaign Finance Reform.  He decided that I struck out like the Mighty Casey.

You may not have seen it lately, but Boone Pickens -- one of the most famous and most successful oilmen in the history of the United States of America (if not the world) -- has a real energy plan with real numbers.  What I like about his approach is that he doesn't get caught down in the weeds of the environmentalist whacko movement and the AlGorista fascism, but he makes a clear argument that we can not afford to continue importing foreign oil at a $700 billion clip per year.

As the summer rolls on, I keep looking -- desperately -- for a reason to cast a vote for John McCain.  I abhor the notion of voting for Barack Obama.  Not because he is black, but because I think he is not that bright.

But everytime I about ready to come around to the notion that John McCain would not be that bad, I am stopped dead in my tracks.  I become, once again, convinced that he is a dunderhead.

As every day goes by, I become more convinced that some old maxims need to be changed.  Starting with that old classic, "Those who can do, those who can't, teach."

I think it should be "Those who can do, those who can't, run for office."

How bad of a newspaper is The Baltimore Sun?  How poorly do they cover news?  How lousy is their grasp of information in our state, the Mid-Atlantic, the nation, and the world?

They had to use an utterly dispicable and poorly written AP wire to announce the passing of Tony Snow.

Barack Hussein Obama is embarrassed by the fact that the vast majority of Americans speak only a single language, while many Europeans speak several languages. His latest outbursts on this matter only go to prove the old adage of the United Negro College Fund:  "A mind is a terrible thing to waste."

Like all left-wing elitists, BHO has this belief that speaking multiple languages is a sign of intelligence or superiority.  He's wrong.

I despise public corruption.  And while I am not a big fan of the death penalty, I do think that public officials -- elected and otherwise -- should be tarred, feathered, and run out of town on rail when found guilty of public malfeasance.
