Columnist Sherman Frederick of the Las Vegas Review-Journal called out Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) in yesterday’s issue, telling him to “stop the childish bullying” after Reid told director of advertising Bob Brown “I hope you go out of business,” at a Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce luncheon. I say bully for Sherman Frederick and the Las Vegas Review Journal. It’s about time that someone stood up to the lying, sniveling, passive-aggressive Senate Majority Leader.

Was the Lockerbie Bomber Freed to Help BP Secure a Deal in Libya? That is the contention of an article in The Sunday Times of London. According to the article by Jason Allardyce, “Gordon Brown’s government made the decision after discussions between Libya and BP over a multi-million-pound oil exploration deal had hit difficulties. These were resolved soon afterwards.” If true, this should have very serious consequences for the alleged “special relationship” between the UK and the United States. Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, a Libyan intelligence officer, was the only person convicted in the bombing that killed 159 Americans on Pan Am Flight 103. He served 11.5 days for each person killed on that flight.

The Wall Street Journal has an outstanding editorial piece detailing how corrupt the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee is, and how he overlooked at least a half-million in assets on his 2007 financial disclosure form. Not to be outdone by overlooking his own massive investment portfolio, he also failed to pay property taxes and has been abusing four rent-control apartments in Lenox Terrace. If the people that write our laws cannot be bothered to follow the laws, how can we be subject to those same laws?

Let’s take a walk through a host of government “enterprises” and look at their health before we jump head first into letting a bunch of isolated Washington politicians lay down the law on how we will seek and pay for health care in the future. Because if we don’t, healthcare will be spelled F-A-I-L-U-R-E.

The late Senator Edward M. Kennedy, the Senator from Chivas Regal, is our latest winner of the Mr. Wu Award, recognizing him for the fact that for most of his life, he was a miserable and ignominious cocksucker. Among other things, Teddy was suspended from Harvard for cheating, killed Mary Jo Kopechne, joked about it, slander Judge Bork lied about the accomplishments of US and ARVN troops during the battle of Hamburger Hill on the Senate Floor, and was a notorious collaborator with the Soviet Union during the early 1980s. The fact that he is being buried in Arlington National Cemetery, a garden of stone that has honored our nation’s honored warriors since the Civil War, is an utter and foul disgrace. It is a stain on our dead.

Word has reached us from our electronic listening posts high atop the candelabra tower on Television Hill in beautiful downtown Mt. Washington that O’Guvnah O’Malley has decided to permanently close the Upper Shore Community Health Center in Centerville, MD as part of his budget counts to be shown to the Board of Public Works Today. The closure is not temporary, but permanent. Ninety permanent jobs will now be lost, and forty crucially needed beds for mental health services will be diverted elsewhere.
And the pain continues for Marylanders struggling under the sheer incompetence and stupidity of O’Guvnah and his dark minions, whose knowledge and understanding of all things monetary and fiscal couldn’t fill the space between the electrons in a hydrogen atom.

On Monday evening, I posted information that the Baltimore Sun was publishing concerning details that were leaking out about O’Guvnah’s employee furloughs to help balance the state budget that he and his dark servants put into deficit through bad policymaking. It turns out the Washington Post as a little different story, highlight up to 10 FURLOUGH DAYS for state employees depending on income level. The plan laid out in the Washington Post is a quite a bit more severe, as it may include public safety workers as well. The Gazette is saying that O’Malley is planning 300-400 layoffs of state employees when he presents his plan to the Board of Public Works this week.
